Deer Guardian is owned and operated by Mosqui-Tex, one of the largest misting system installers in the U.S. and MistAway Systems’ single largest customer.   Since our start in 2002, we have installed over 2600 mosquito and fly systems in a broad range of settings – residential, deer breeding, horse barns, Caribbean resorts, golf courses - even three private islands off the coast of Maine. 

You’ll find stress and disease-causing insects wherever deer are bred, and you’ll also find Deer Guardian there.  While our home office is located in Houston, TX, we travel all over the country for installations.  We’ve worked with deer breeders in locations from west Texas to northeastern Pennsylvania, to southeastern Alabama, and you’ll find our equipment in virtually every state in between.

Knowledge Gained through Hands-on Experience

With the experience of thousands of misting system installations in a wide range of settings comes the knowledge of what works and what doesn’t.  Through years of trial and error, we have perfected the ability to control insects in virtually any situation, whether it’s a small yard, an entire resort, or a one-hundred acre wildlife breeding facility.  For example, to enable protection over multi-acre parcels, we have mastered a variety of pressure preservation techniques that allow us to transport insecticide up to a half-mile from the reservoir without noticeable pressure loss and without stressing the equipment.  We have also developed the ability to modify the drift characteristics of the mist through custom blending, which ensures that the insecticide reaches and covers the target area.

• Deer Guardian’s owner, George Tunal, is personally involved with every project – from design, to procurement of the equipment, to installation and testing, to handoff to ranch staff.
• We only use equipment by our preferred partner, MistAway, the leading manufacturer of automated insect misting systems.  The design of each installation is reviewed by their engineers to ensure the system will meet its required specs.
• After installation and testing, we conduct a “hand-off” meeting with the ranch staff to ensure they understand its performance specs and how to operate and trouble-shoot the equipment.
